Smart temperature regulation

A microprocessor-based current regulation system ensures precise thermal stability of the foam cutting wire. This closed-loop control actively compensates for input voltage variations and dynamic changes in effective wire resistance (resulting from tension and length variations), thereby maintaining consistent cutting energy delivery and optimal operational parameters.

3D hot wire foam cutter transmission

The system’s actuation relies on brushless motors featuring absolute encoders for closed-loop position control. Linear motion is achieved through a configuration of high-stiffness linear guides, low-friction carriages, and a precision ball screw drive, delivering both smooth travel and high repeatability during foam cutting operations.

Pneumatic work-holding tabletop

The CNC 3D foam cutting machine utilizes four steel/marble composite sliding tabletops integrating a pneumatic locking system for secure work-holding.

Motion along the primary axis is facilitated by linear guides with recirculating ball bearings. Integrated end-rollers are included to improve the efficiency of loading expanded polystyrene blocks onto the support platform.

4-axis milling router

Create amazing custom sculptures in 360°. Use the rotation of the horizontal lathe and the 4-axis movement of the milling machine to carry out the operations.

Multiple wire harp

It can cut polystyrene blocks with more than one wire simultaneously, processing multiple pieces of the same shape in a single movement.

Main rotating table

The rotation occurs automatically and is managed by the software interface. It allows cuts along all four sides of the polystyrene block without the need for manual rotation.

Vertical turntable

Used for 360° cutting of 3D shapes in polystyrene, whether they are symmetric or asymmetric, irregular, spheres, columns, characters, and figures.

Horizontal lathe

The horizontal lathe, unlike the vertical one, is equipped with a tailstock that allows the processing of the polystyrene block at 360° along the entire length of the machine.

Tangent carver

The tangent carver uses a rigid, moldable wire that can be used to create completely customized internal excavations and perform curved cuts on a tangent, opening up new creative and productive possibilities.
