2 multiple wire harps
The Chips Maker foam recycling machine is designed to produce polystyrene chips and cubes, ideal for both packaging and recycling.
The machine processes EPS and XPS using two crossed multi-wire harps: one fixed, equipped with 80 wires, and one mobile, with 40 wires, for a total of 120 wires.
The double-harp system ensures precise cutting of the material fed into the hopper.
Customizable chip
Thanks to dedicated potentiometers, it is possible to precisely adjust both the speed of the motorized harp and the temperature of the cutting wires, providing complete control over the final size of the polystyrene chips or cubes produced.
This configuration allows for variations in the length and thickness of the shredded material, producing shorter or elongated chips depending on specific needs.
In this way, the recycling machine adapts to multiple production needs, providing a flexible and customizable solution for recycling and processing polystyrene.
How to recycle styrofoam packing material
Harvesting and preparation
The recycling process begins with the collection of EPS waste from various sources, such as production facilities, construction sites, and distribution centers.
To ensure an optimal recycling procedure, the collected EPS waste undergoes thorough sorting, with contaminants or impurities being removed.
Size reduction
In the next phase, the selected EPS waste is fed into the Chips Maker dicer, where it undergoes size reduction. The chip structure is customizable thanks to the speed adjustment potentiometers and the temperature settings of the harp wires.
