How it works
The hot knife works by heating a metal blade that, once brought to the ideal temperature, easily glides through materials such as expanded polystyrene (EPS) and extruded polystyrene (XPS).
When the hot blade comes into contact with the material, it melts and separates the polystyrene granules, enabling a clean and precise cut without producing dust or residues.
This electrical hot knife offers total control: the operator can perform both straight cuts and shaped forms thanks to the possibility of using different types of blades.
The heat maintains constant friction, facilitating the blade’s movement through the material and reducing wear.
