Let’s see together how to create this magnificent Queen of Hearts card using only expanded polystyrene.

The pieces of paper are glued together using silicone after being painted with acrylic paint.
Step 3
To position the inner edges of the paper, I created a template to place in the corner, resulting in a perfectly centered frame.
Step 4
Here comes the most complex part: the drawing of the queen. I chose freehand drawing, but a tracing technique could easily be used instead.
Step 5
I place the cylinder on the CNC hot wire lathe and import the sculpture file. The final result will be very rough. It would still be fine, but if you don’t have a CNC foam cutter, like our Ercolina, you can try to make it more detailed.
